⚠️ What this test does NOT do A traditional "DNS leak test" depends on a dedicated test domain with its own authoritative name server, capable of logging which resolver a query actually came from. This site is 100% static (no server of its own), so that exact check isn't technically possible here.

What we do instead: we query, directly from your browser, the main public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare and Google) via DNS-over-HTTPS and compare each one's response time from your network — useful for knowing which resolver responds fastest for you. We also show your public IP's reverse DNS.

Is this a real "DNS Leak Test"?

Not in the strict sense. A real leak test checks which resolver your operating system uses by default during ordinary browsing, which requires your own DNS infrastructure with query logging. Here we only show a speed comparison between known public resolvers and your IP's reverse DNS, transparently about this limitation.

Why are Cloudflare and Google different in speed?

Both use a global anycast network, but the fastest route to you depends on peering, your ISP's location and momentary congestion — the "winner" can even change between runs.

How do I run a complete DNS leak test?

Dedicated tools with their own infrastructure (test domains with exclusive authoritative servers) can perform this full check. That's outside the scope of a 100% static site like this one.
