1. Who we are
TestePC (mvsp.com.br/testepc) is a free online hardware diagnostics service for computers, operated by MVSP Soluções Digitais. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the data collected while you use the site.
2. Data we collect
TestePC collects the following types of data:
- Usage and browsing data: pages visited, time spent, clicks and interactions on the site, collected anonymously by Google Analytics.
- Device technical data: information about screen resolution, browser, operating system and connection type, collected automatically for the hardware tests (TestePC) to work. This data is not sent to any server and is processed locally in your browser.
- Network data (Network Tests): when you use the tools in the "Network Tests" section (My IP, Speed, Proxy Detection, DNS Test and Global Latency), your public IP address is queried by external services (ipify.org, ipapi.co, Cloudflare and Google Public DNS) for these tools to work — this is different from the hardware tests, which are 100% local. See details in section 4-A below.
- Contact data: name and email address voluntarily provided in the contact form.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for traffic analysis and, with consent, to display personalized advertising.
We do not collect sensitive data such as passwords, identity documents, banking details or health information.
3. How we use your data
We use the collected data to:
- Measure and improve the site's performance and usability;
- Understand how users interact with the tests;
- Respond to messages sent through the contact form;
- Display relevant ads (with consent) through Google AdSense;
- Ensure the security and proper functioning of the site.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous information about site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to identify repeat visits and generate statistical reports.
Data collected by Google Analytics does not personally identify you and is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy.
You can disable Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
4-A. External services used by the Network Tests
Unlike TestePC's hardware tests — which run 100% locally in your browser, sending nothing to any server — the tools in the Network Tests section (My IP, Speed, Proxy Detection, DNS Test and Global Latency) need to query external services to work, since information like your public IP, connection speed and DNS resolution cannot be obtained solely within the browser.
When you use these tools, your IP address is sent directly by your browser to the following third-party services (MVSP does not intermediate or store this information):
- ipify.org: used to obtain your public IP (all network tests).
- ipapi.co: used to estimate location, ISP and ASN from your IP (My IP, Proxy Detection, DNS Test).
- Google Public DNS (dns.google): used for reverse DNS lookups and resolver comparison (My IP, DNS Test).
- Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com and cloudflare-dns.com): used to measure download, upload, ping and jitter (Speed) and for DNS resolver comparison (DNS Test).
- Public institutional websites (e.g. gov.br, gov.uk, usa.gov, among others): used only to measure approximate response time per region (Global Latency), with no personal data sent beyond what's needed to load a public icon (favicon).
None of this data is stored, sold or shared by MVSP — the query happens directly between your browser and the external service. We recommend checking these services' own privacy policies if you'd like more detail on how each one handles the data it receives.
5. Google AdSense and Advertising
TestePC may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites.
Personalized advertising can be disabled through Google's ad settings or via aboutads.info.
As AdSense publishers, we follow the AdSense Program Policies, which prohibit collecting personal information through ads.
6. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: required for the site's basic functioning (e.g. cookie consent preference);
- Analytics cookies: used by Google Analytics to measure traffic (only with consent);
- Advertising cookies: used by Google AdSense to display relevant ads (only with consent).
The first time you visit the site, you'll see a banner asking for your consent to use analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept or decline at any time.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Google LLC: for analytics (Analytics), advertising (AdSense) and DNS resolution (Google Public DNS), as described above;
- Cloudflare, Inc. and ipify/ipapi.co: for the Network Tests (speed, public IP, IP-based location and DNS comparison), as described in section 4-A;
- Formspree: contact-form processing service, which receives name and email to forward messages to our email address;
- Legal obligation: when required by law, court order or competent authority.
8. Security
TestePC uses an HTTPS connection to encrypt all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Hardware tests run 100% locally in your browser, and no information about your hardware is sent to our servers.
9. Data retention
Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months (GA4 default setting). Messages sent through the contact form are retained for up to 12 months after the request is resolved.
10. Your rights (LGPD)
In accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 — LGPD), you have the following rights:
- Confirm whether we process your data;
- Access the data we hold about you;
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- Request deletion of your personal data;
- Withdraw consent at any time;
- Request information about the sharing of your data.

This site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend you read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
12. Minors
TestePC is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When that happens, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly.
